Yesterday and today I thought about growing up. My son will be 1 yr old next week and I am realizing he is far different now then when he first was born. He used to be able to curl up on my chest and fall asleep, now he's lucky if he can curl up on anything he's so big. He's at a point where he likes to try and walk but often he just gets on his feet and then falls on his rump.
The other day an older friend from school mentioned a bridge we were all scared of on facebook, and asked if anyone had ever walked across it. Looking back now, I would never have done it with how high it was and how much I would lose if God forbid a train did come. As we get older perhaps we gain those insights about the shortness of life and we value the people we have around us more then we do as a youth.
Today, I hope we remember our past, and we value those around us who have been with us along our journey.
