Unexpected gifts.

     Today is my son's birthday, we already opened a few presents, went out for birthday breakfast (bagel day). I'll tell you more about his birthday tomorrow. But as I watched him with his first birthday I wondered about things.

     How long did it take us to realize and accept presents we're given? My son didn't know how to unwrap the presents we gave him so Mommy and I had to help him. Then after opening the present he didn't know what to do with it. He banged pieces together to make noise and pushed the buttons repeatedly to hear the sounds the toys would make. But I wonder, how long will it take for him to figure out the point of the toy, how it works and what the idea behind the toy is.

     Today I hope we all take the time to figure out what gifts we have received and how we can use them properly to help us in our life.
